Welcome to the Oriental Bazaar, your one-stop shop for all your grocery needs. We are a family-owned business with a passion for providing high-quality halal products to our community.

The story of our shop began in the year 2007 when there were no halal butcher shops in Porto and very few in Lisbon. Two cousins from Morocco saw this gap in the market and decided to establish a halal butcher shop in Porto. They wanted to provide high-quality halal meat to the local Muslim community and worked hard to build a loyal customer base. However, they eventually had to move from Portugal for personal reasons and put the business up for sale.

This is where we Abdul Kareem and Zubair Ebraheem come in. When we two brothers heard that the halal butcher shop was up for sale, we saw an opportunity to continue serving the Muslim community in Porto. We decided to put all our efforts into running this halal business and offer a wide selection of halal products that our community could rely on.
Since then, we have grown and expanded our offerings to include fresh produce, pantry staples, snacks, and more.

Thanks to our support partners Chatar, Halah, Chatura, Yayla, Basma, TRS, Khanum, and Sebahat, Oriental Bazaar has been able to offer a full range of halal meat and groceries not just to the Muslim community but also to the wider Asian, African, Arabic, Turkish, and Iranian communities.
